Hola, The bridge in Arnhem played a distinguished roll in the movie "A bridge to Far". We lived during the battle in the neighbourhood of Arnhem. After that we escaped to the northern provinces of our country. Anywhere, now back to this forum. Sabatier-Decauville was a famous French generator. |

Hola, The picture of the tug-boat was taken during WWII somewhere on the Dutch waterways. The generator (the left drum on the picture) is probably a anthracite gasgenerator, because the filling of that generator with fuel goes by means of a "lock" system (see the cone shaped object on top of the generator). This type of generator was used a lot on board of ships and in water pumping stations for mostly they have, opposite to road vehicles, large engines. |

Hola, Dear Francisko: In the Finnish brochure from General Motors you published in this forum you can see a Chevrolet with a General Motors of Sweden charcoalgasgenerator. This generator was exclusively developped by Axel Svedlund, a famous Swedish generatorengineer and producer, for General Motors of Sweden. GM descriped the generator as follows: GMS-T for 3 liter to 4,5 liter engines. Dear HD: The Scania-Vabis truck from the Uppsala Läns Norra Vägdistrikt has a Svedlund woodgasgenerator. The Svedlund generators looks on the outside similar to these of Imbert, but inside they are quite different. A second problem in the determination of the generators on Scania-Vabis trucks is the fact, that Imbert was the homesupplier of Scania-Vabis. |

Hola, In the period of the Second World War Henschel (a German manufacturer of trucks and locomotives) used next to the Imbert gasifier also the Henschel-Finkbeiner gasifier. Is there a member of this forum who has information(s) about this gasifier? |

Hola Protze: Gracias por tus aclaraciones respecto al Scania y por tu información sobre el ingeniero y fabricante Svedlund del que no tenía ni idea. También por confirmarnos las aplicaciones de ésta tecnología en motores estacionarios y marinos. Respecto al Henschel-Finkbeiner ésto es lo que tengo. Espero que te sea útil.     Entre los múltiples fabricantes españoles ya citados estaban los hermanos Tachó, a quienes corresponden éstas fotografías bajadas de la red.  Estoy seguro de que hay entre nosotros quien conoce bastante mejor que yo la vida y milagros de éstos emprendedores y tal vez no le importe ilustrarnos un poco....  Saludos. HenschelDiesel. Is there a member of this forum who has more information of this generator (images, schemes, applications)? Also I think the truck is a Hispano-Suiza T69. Unfortunionaly for a right determination there is no sideboard of the engine-hood. Here a image of that truck with a generator and a Hispano-Suiza HS canon in the cargo hold . The image was taken in front of the factory in Sagrera. |

Hola!, muy buenas estas últimas fotos.. Sobre el supuesto T-69, yo cuando lo ví también lo pensé, pero explico: esta foto aperece en el libro "microcoches españoles" ( recomiendo su lectura encarecidamente), y según dice el autor, este camión pertenecía ala familia Tachó (después fabricantes de los PTV), y dice que era lago así como un camión francés.. pero ami también me parece un Hispano. . En el libro que cita Paco, aparecen (cedidas por Toni Tachó), dos de estas tres fotografías, la superior y la inferior izquierda. La inferior derecha, si no recuerdo mal, apareció hace años en la revista Motor Clásico, en el número dedicado a los P.T.V. El autor del citado libro, no menciona en ningún momento que el camión sea de origen francés (ni de ningún otro país...), ni que el camión perteneciera a la familia Tachó. El pie de foto dice textualmente: "José Tachó (1950) sobre un camión equipado con un gasógeno que tenía por marca el apellido de la familia". Efectivamente, los Tachó comercializaron gasógenos bajo las marcas "Tachó" y "Titán", como se cita en el mismo libro. Independientemente de lo que diga el autor  (o de lo que otros pongan en su boca), a mí personalmente también me parece que puede ser un camión Hispano-Suiza.Un saludo, Miguel . |

Efectivamente, esa es la referencia exacta del libro de los microcoches.. pido disculpas por mi equivocación, pero esque todo lo que digo lo digo de memoria, ya que estudio en Madrid y toda mi "documentación" está a 200 kilómetros de aquí. Hola, A nice discussion about the brothers Tachó. I have learned a lot of them. From the list of gasogeno producers in Spain during the WWII you have had a lot of great gasogeno builders and manufacturers. Are there schemes etc. of for example the Tachó gasogenos or from other Spanish ones? Saludos, Protze |
