:41::41::41: GRACIAS, GRACIAS Y GRACIAS, LUIS :41::41::41:

The six point star is from Henschel, annother possibilty is that they used a ex-army chassis and they put in a henschel diesel engine to replace the old petrol engine, this was common practice here in Holland.

Buy a used ex-army GMC truck, buy a new Henschel 90 HP diesel and start trucking :)

I think this because I don't recocnise the cab as a Henschel cab. they looked a bit different in 1955.

thats exactly what I meant. thanks...

because Henschel repaired a lot of GMC's after WW2, they got a lot of ideas which they used in their own trucks later. The all terrain trucks build by them were unbeatable...

Yes, I think the forward control Henschel cab was this:

that is one of the used models of cabs.

Its indeed possible that these marks used Henschel components.

Henschel-Sura, never heard of it, can you tell me more about that??

It is a rather complex and confusing history; you could say the tale is longer than the listing of units actually produced. :)
Anyway, and summarizing: In the late fitties and early sixties a number of small Spanish truck makers tried to break the Pagaso-Barreiros "duopoly". They were Babcock, Rubel, LAI (under several different brands: Albatros, Karpetan, Layetan, Oretan), Nazar and others. All of them used mainly engines coming from Perkins Hispania or Henschel-Sura, and only Nazar was successful to some extent and reached to make a significant number (3500 actually) of trucks and coaches, although it went eventually out of the market in 1966.

This is a Henschel-Sura engined (and Henschel cabed?) Rubel:

Interestingly, Rubel also produced a hundred of Henschel-Sura-rear-engined coaches.

About the Henschel-Sura engines: they were made by Motores Sura of Barcelona with Henschel license, starting in 1958 and going until 1967. A few thousands of units were made in total. This is the listing of models:

Detailed info can be found in the book "Historia de la Industria Española de la Automocion" by Manuel Lage Marco.

the Rubel has a different cab as the Henschel HS 11, but there are some things that are similar. Like the grill look a bit similar and the type looks the same, Henschel also has a HS 11, but I haven't got any pics.. :(

these things you tell me now aren't told in the 'official' Henschel literature.

thanks for the info.
here is a pic of a similar Henschel model.

Any idea of there are any in excistence???
